I am so happy and honored to share the fifth Neptunian Influence mix and the first in our summer series. Abundant in the dark and the dreamy, feast your ears and imagination on this aquatic soundscape made by the one and only Sassmouth.

Sassmouth is founder of the record label ‘god particle,’ a resident for both Planet Chicago at Smartbar and As You Like It in San Francisco and a member of the Naughty Bad Fun Collective. In addition to planning and playing the annual Industry Brunch during Movement weekend in Detroit this past May, we were also lucky to have her throw down at our first Neptunian Influence party, a modest pre-festival meetup and brunch that holds a special history of love and friendship. It should be noted that both Sass-sets were highlights of the weekend! Sassmouth excels in playing a diverse range of sounds from house to electro to techno and beyond as you’d expect a super DJ to do, and she always captivates the dancefloor with raw, groovy energy.

We met at a warehouse in LA over a year ago and I’ve considered her a friend, mentor and inspiration ever since. However, our heightened tastebuds for electro and “almost birthday twin” qualities have brought us to this point. Neptune’s effects on libras are known to be strong 🙂
