Unearth Neptunian reflections from the Puget Sound with livwutang. The Seattle-based DJ and party curator is a member of the TUF Collective, resident of the label Tech Startup’s party series, and sometimes an environmental justice organizer.

Liv’s Neptunian reflections:
“I meditated on quite a few different concepts for this mix and talked it over with several dear friends of mine. It went through multiple transformations, as my mixes usually do…I think there are only 2 or 3 bits of the original tracklist that survived its multiple iterations! This mix is a bit different than my others in that its got a strong underlying personal emotional current and is slightly less linear than anything I’ve recorded in the past. I’ve been thinking a lot about uncertainty the past few months. It’s a feeling that has been permeating my psyche with particular intensity in the past week, which is when I recorded the final version of this. While I was picking out the tracklist and mixing, I allowed myself to sink into the uncertainty I’ve been experiencing…in my relationships, in our collective future on this earth, in the lives of my loved ones…I felt myself traversing so many different forms of it throughout the course of the mix: genuine curiosity, fear, exhilaration, anxiety, comfort, grief, sentiments I can’t quite articulate. I hope it can serve as an auditory companion to any uncertainty those who listen to it may be feeling too, in all its vast multitudes and non-linearity.”
